One of the most life determining emotions is social anxiety. We worry about interacting with our peers, our managers at work or maybe our employees. How do we look? How do we sound? Am I hated or loved?

Social anxiety dictates what we wear, what we say and how we respond to other people in how they look or to what they say.

As with most worry, anxiety or stress we quite often don’t recognise the symptoms and therefore cannot act to combat them. Every so often we should all take time to sit quietly to analyse our everyday lives. Identify what motivates us through the day. What obstacles do we commonly come across? Do you recognise these obstacles and plan as to how to overcome them or do you just stumble through?

Along the same vein consider instances when you have felt under pressure and try to identify why that pressure existed and how you can make things different and easier in the future.

Social anxiety is no different. We often don’t recognise that it’s there but if we take a few minutes to stand back and analyse our thoughts we will see that the pressure to look good or to perform well emanates from having to interact with others. Understand this and you will be able to manage this social anxiety by putting it into its true context.

Is It Worth Worrying about?

As with all aspects of worry, anxiety or stress it is quite often an insignificant event that is the instigator. Whenever you feel the pressure of life becoming too much take a break. Consider the root cause of the pressure, stress or anxiety and make a plan to combat it. It is often the case that social anxiety is much easier to deal with than to live with.

Worry is only worth it when it acts as a warning. Don’t let worry be the worry.

Previously, we have already identified certain events where worry acts as a warning. For example, where a child is late home and a parent starts to worry. In this case worry acts as an early warning system.

In fact, to worry is an emotion which distinguishes us from other animals. So we can deduct from this that we would not be human if we did not worry at all. But we all need to rationalize worry.

To do this we need to look at the different reasons why we worry to excess. Quite often it is because the subject we worry about is a problem in itself. For instance, if we worry excessively about money it could mean we are obsessed with material things, or we would struggle with the “shame” of being poor. We have to send our children into private education, or we need to buy a new pair of shoes every time we go shopping!!!

Another example is individual phobias. These can lead to extreme worry, anxiety, stress and bad health and should be treated with professional help.

Most of us, through experience, know that overcoming worry is essential as, not only can it be a drain on our energy levels, but it can also affect our health and can lead to many a sleepless night.

So, how does overcoming worry by rationalization work? Where do we start?

First we have to establish exactly what we are worried about. This has to be an honest analysis of the fears that cause us to worry. Fear is a good test of our true worry. The fear of something is usually the thing we worry about.

Next we look at possible results starting with our worries coming to nothing or, leading to the worst possible outcome you could imagine. You then need to follow through on that worst possible outcome to what it really means to your everyday life.

This exercise alone is often enough to rationalize your worries by realising the worst outcome imaginable is not the end of the world!

It will also highlight areas that can be influenced and as such, reduce your worry. For example, it’s your wedding day tomorrow and, quite naturally, you’re worried that things may go wrong. How can you rationalize your fears?

So, what could you possibly worry about the night before your wedding!! I will not list everything here as the list for each individual could be quite long. So let’s pick a typical one for a groom. His speech.

Firstly, remember, it is your day. If you do make a mess of your speech who cares? OK, you don’t want to upset the in-laws within the first five minutes so keep it simple. Leave out the risky jokes and just thank people. If it’s your in-laws you are worried about, talk to them first. Get their approval on what you are going to say.

The overall advice is to plan. Plan to avoid the unthinkable. Plan to ensure you get a good night sleep.

I have a bad memory and often worry might forget to do something important. To overcome this I am always making lists to remind myself to do things. This is tremendous in overcoming lots of different worries to ensure a good night’s sleep. Before going to bed write down helpful hints to assist you the following day with any event or activity that is likely to keep you awake.

All these steps are a continual rationalization of any worries you may have. Not designed to eradicate but to ease.

With yet another tip in overcoming worry, goodnight, and have a peaceful sleep.

Now, there will be cynics amongst you that are thinking of clicking straight out of this site. Please do. But, when looking for solutions, every avenue should be explored. Bearing in mind the number of people who are “God Fearing” then religion cannot be ignored.

This piece is fundamental in whichever niche you place yourself. Whether you rationalize, use coaching, try science, or religion. They all work. An answer can be found in any one of them. What is critical is that you look for an answer and, once found, believe in it!

52 Christian Meditation, Affirmation, and Music Downloads

Overcoming worry with God is no different. If you believe God will help then He will. Overcoming worry is not a physical problem; it is a psychological condition and as such can be addressed in a psychological way.

This said, there are often reasons behind the worry which should also be addressed and this is where, on occasion, major problems can arise.

For instance, a child may go missing. It is necessary to search for the child. Praying may add extra motivation, that in searching, the child will be found.

As people age, or become in poor health, they may worry as to what happens to them upon death. Religion can be a huge comfort in these circumstances and is often envied by those who do not believe and cannot find answers in their own world of beliefs.

Therefore, yes, overcoming worry with god is possible but don’t let it replace action. Worry is one thing. The reasons that cause the worry are another.

This subject is a website in itself. Whether I believe there is a God or not is irrelevant. What you believe is important.

If you are looking for a way of overcoming worry about your future, perhaps your career, relationships, or just life in general, then Life Coaching is most likely the way forward for you.

As with most of the ideas on this site for overcoming worry, Life Coaching will work for you if you believe it will and put in the effort required to make it work.

So, how does life coaching work? How will it help in overcoming worry about key issues in life?

Crucial to success is finding the right coach. Please Click Here. It is critical that a good relationship can be formulated between yourself and the coach. For life coaching to succeed a mutual bond of trust must exist. Results are achieved by appropriate questioning, by the coach, and then the setting of agreed goals and plans to achieve these objectives.

Initially, an analysis will be made of where a person currently is in life This in turn will identify where they want to be. It could be they are concerned they are not where they should or, anticipated they would be, at this stage in their life. Or, it may be that they are not as close to family as they want to be.

Whatever the issue, certain outcomes will be established. These are goals that an individual wishes to achieve, firstly in the short term but, ultimately, long term.

Plans will then be greed which will overcome any obstacles in the way of obtaining these outcomes. This is all achieved with appropriate questions being asked by the coach.

This is a very simple overview of what can be an extremely beneficial and enlightening process for overcoming worry with life coaching. Click Here For More Detail.

The idea being that each of us are different and need individual courses of action to overcome their particular worry or worries in general. Here we will be looking at Meditation.

Meditation is rooted in Eastern Religion. Most known of these is Buddhism. Buddhists themselves make the best teachers of meditation, not only for those who follow their ways, but for the populace in general.

What is meditation used for? The ultimate aim is contentment, a oneness with nature. To achieve this it has to overcome all the niggling issues that prevent its final aims.

Now I am not advocating that everyone entering into meditation should take this long journey, unless they should wish to, but to use the meditation process to overcome worry and indeed any anxieties they may possess.

The Sound Of Reiki Healing. Click For Meditation Music.

The first step is to find a quiet, peaceful place where you will not be disturbed. Then engage in a few stretching exercises to wake yourself up and also to prevent twitching or the flexing of limbs during meditation.

Get yourself in a sitting but erect position and begin to relax. Close your mind to other issues except the one you wish to concentrate on. This will be a gradual process as some issues will be reluctant to go. Eventually your mind will be rid of the bombardment of everyday matters and will be concentrating purely on the worry you wish to address. Once in control you can start to repeat phrases over and over which address your worry. For someone who worries over everything it may be as simple as “worrying never changed anything”. Or it may be some action to take on a regular basis which will prevent the worry before it can start.

Whatever is said will be individual to you, but it must address the core issue.

When you feel the time is right, this could be after five minutes or an hour, gradually become aware of yourself and surroundings. It may take a few seconds to come fully back to reality. When you have recovered, reflect on how you now feel. You may be surprised!

This is a definite area where worry can be overcome. The majority of people normally worry about money because they do not know their true situation. They have buried their head in the sand and do not want to face the facts. The facts are never as bad as one assumes they are. Why is this?

For Immediate Anxiety and Worry Relief With A Natural Technique To Stop
Panic Attacks and General Anxiety Fast! Click Here NOW!

As soon as we start to examine the facts we automatically start thinking of solutions. Therefore by the time we have studied the situation we have rationalised the options. Indeed a lot of the time there is no need to take a huge amount of action. Sometimes the immediate options are out of our control. Where they are not, plans should be formulated to achieve the outcome that is the best option for the situation.

Where worry exists because of your financial situation an immediate breakdown of income and outgoings is essential. This should give a realistic view of how bad (or good) your financial situation stands.

From this analysis options should become evident. Can income be increased or outgoings reduced? How much savings, if any, do you have? How long will this assist you through this tough situation? How big a shortfall exists? What can you do now to prevent your financial situation worsening? Do you need to contact your mortgage provider?

Your worry can be overcome but you must be proactive. If action is needed, take it. If you do whatever you are capable of doing then whatever else happens is fate. Fate will happen. It cannot be stopped.

If you read about me you will know that I have been penniless in a foreign country and become bankrupt in this country. I don’t look back on those periods with regret. I still had many good times and experiences alongside the bad ones. That happens all the time in life.

Live life as it comes. On the one hand you may be bankrupt but on the other you may have just met the partner of your dreams! Remember, worry can be overcome.

Worry is the anticipation of something negative happening or has happened. It nearly always has no purpose and can do damage by causing stress and anxiety symptoms. If this progresses it can lead to serious life threatening health problems! At its best worry can be a motivator pushing an individual into action if, for instance, your child is late home from school. You will start worrying and be propelled in action by perhaps searching the neighbourhood or ringing round friends.

So, would we take that action if we did not suffer with worry? Indeed, from a police point of view, if your child did go missing and you showed no signs of worry, the police would suspect you of involvement in the disappearance. So a little worry may be necessary but the key question is do you suffer with worry?

No amount of therapy would stop a parent worrying about a missing child. Indeed they would be considered abnormal if they did not worry. And so worry has been established as something which is natural and part of human emotions.

For worry relief click here

It is where worry becomes a driving force in none life threatening matters, where to worry is not a warning or motivator into action. It is too late for that, the situation is a reality, nothing can be done to reverse what has happened. Then worry becomes a problem.

To look at that in reality many people worry they might lose their job. Why?

If they lose their job, they lose their income. If they lose their income they cannot pay the bills. If they cannot pay the bills they cannot feed and house their family. If they cannot feed and house their family they. What? Die? Get help? Find another job? Win the lottery? Inherit some money? Who knows? They have not lost their job yet!

This is the reality of worry. Full of “what ifs” and no “in that case I will”. Firstly to worry about something which is very unlikely is pointless. If there is something which justifiably causes concern then plan. Don’t allow worry to either stress you or console you. Take action!
